Recital 2026 will be held at Glenmore Christian Academy. June 27th.

Tickets will be on Sale May 2026.

After the ticket sale, tickets will be available for purchase in the office or online. Buying tickets online will not give you the option of choosing your seats. You can opt to purchase tickets without choosing a seat if you are not concerned about location in the theatre.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE THEATRE.

Rules and Recital Policies

Recital Backstage

It is expected all dancers will be on their best behaviour when backstage at the venue. We rent these venues with the expectation of being able to repeat our rental. If we treat the venue with respect we are imparting the values we teach to our students in every class.

Awards

Awards are presented at the end of Recital. These awards are chosen by the ICON Dance Company Directors and Staff. These are given to dancers who the staff has determined to be deserving in each category of award.

Videos/Photos

A professional videographer will be recording Recital. Digital copies of recital will be available for download a few weeks after the performance.

Recital Costumes

Recital costumes are ordered by a specific time each year. If you do not make a payment for your dancers costumes at the payment time indicated, your child will be unable to participate in recital. Deadlines for payments will be emailed out to every participant. Please be sure to pay attention to emails as they will be sent multiple times.

ICON YEAR END AWARDS

ICON AWARD OF AMBITION

This award is given to a student who shows great potential in their strongest discipline. This recognition can be awarded to any student regardless of amount of classes taken. All disciplines are included.

ICON AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

This award is given to a dancer who excels in one or more forms of dance. They are attentive, take correction and consistently improve skills learned in class. This can be awarded to any student regardless of amount of classes taken. All disciplines are included.

ICON OVERALL

AWARD

This award is given to an exemplary dancer. A dancer who not only works hard in class, but a dancer who also shows true talent through their hard work. This dancer must take a minimum of 3 disciplines of dance in order to be considered.

12 & Under - Any dancer aged 12 or under as of January 1st of the current season.

13 & Over - Any dancer aged 13 or older as of January 1st of the current season.

*Dancers may win awards more than once but not consecutively.
